Helpful info for volunteers:
If you haven't had a chance to sign-up yet, please check out the parent Sign-up Genius for a list of jobs. We need a lot of extra help this year on Friday during the day because ringers are in school.
Also, here is the Signup Genius for food donations!
There will be a sign-up sheet at practice Sunday for ringers to write down their estimated schedule so we can plan for food, etc. During rummage week, there will be a volunteer time sheet in the chapel so everyone can log their actual time.
The chapel will be used as a "volunteer only" area. Ringers, parents, and volunteers can store their personal belongings & rummage treasures there. It will be blocked off from the public, but largely unattended so no valuables, purses, etc! Please, no personal items in the kitchen or "treasure piles" along the gym walls. Instead, grab a box from the chapel hallway, write your name on it and consider it your "rummage shopping cart." At the end of each night (during setup and the sale), be sure to check out with a cashier. We're hoping by moving everything into the chapel that your rummage treasures don't get sold, walk away, or get thrown away at the end!
Schedule for next week:

Sat - Sale 8am - 12pm
Work until we're done! / load leftover donations / dumpsters & clean-up!
Things to remember:
- Safety First! Safety over speed! Lift with your legs and not your back!
- Bring work gloves, water bottles, good closed-toe shoes, and work clothes.
- Sign-in and out of your volunteer shifts.
- While unloading, leave a path - don't block the aisles between tables.
- It is OK to leave some items in boxes under tables and continue to unpack as tables clear off.
- Ringers DO NOT accept money - customers should go to the cashier.
- DO NOT tie anything onto a customer's vehicle. It is the buyer's responsibility, not ours. We assume liability if we tie down a load and an accident happens!
- Fill the dumpster from back to front. Stack it to the top before you move forward. It is dangerous to move knee-deep garbage in the dumpster to make room.
- Carry a pocket-sized pricing guide (on your phone is great!) so customers can't keep asking different volunteers until they get the price they want.
