All adults who volunteer directly with youth members of The Wesley Bell Ringers (tour chaperones, retreats, carpool drivers, rummage pick-up's, etc) are required to complete the Safe Gatherings training.
This policy is in effect January 1, 2026 at Christ United Methodist Church. The church assumes the cost to register and the certification lasts two years.
The video section takes about two hours to complete. You can stop and come back at a later time if you need to and it will pick up where you left off.
The results will be e-mailed to you and the office manager at Christ UMC.
Instructions:
- Go to safegatherings.com
- Choose the "New User" button at the top right.
- Choose "Sign Up" for New Safe Gatherings Application.
- Choose language preference from the drop-down.
- Choose "Church or Faith-Based Organization" from the drop-down.
- Choose "Methodist" from the drop-down.
- Choose "Utah" for the state.
- Type "Christ" and select "Christ UMC Salt Lake City" from the drop-down.
- Click "Next" and then provide the required information to make an account.
